The Balanyà distillery was a family industry where wine or breeze was distilled in order to obtain brandy. It worked from the end of the nineteenth century to the middle of the twentieth century.

It has now been reconstructed in a museum where we can learn the role played by the distillery, exports of brandy, phylloxera and the social and economic facts that made the brandy become one of the main products of Catalan exports from the 18th and 19th centuries.
